Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. All resizing happens locally in your browser, so your files never leave your device — unlike upload-based resizer sites.

Can I resize many images at once?

Yes. Select a whole batch and they are all resized with the same settings, then downloaded individually or as one ZIP file.

Why can't I make images bigger?

Enlarging a bitmap can't add real detail — it only adds blur. To keep results sharp, this tool shrinks images and keeps the original size when your target is larger.

What does the aspect-ratio lock do?

With the lock on, width and height stay linked to the first image's proportions, and every image is scaled to fit inside your target size without stretching or distortion.

Which output format should I pick?

PNG keeps transparency and is lossless, JPG is smallest for photos, and WebP offers great compression for the modern web. Transparent areas become white in JPG.
