Group buy no longer hard-codes 618. Chinese uses this campaign's own name, other languages use Black Friday, and the pages and errors follow your interface language. Signing in on a non-Chinese interface no longer turns the whole page white. Colored buttons no longer pick up a black ring.
Improvements
The sidebar and the group-buy entry no longer name the campaign 618. Chinese shows this campaign's own name. Other languages show Black Friday.
Bug Fixes
The start page, the group page, and the share card follow your interface language. Chinese and Traditional Chinese stay in Chinese. Other languages use the Black Friday copy, instead of a page that was entirely in Chinese. When a group buy does not go through, the message is in your language too, instead of a raw Chinese sentence.
On a non-Chinese interface, signing in no longer turns the whole page white because of the membership badge.
Colored buttons, such as pink and blue ones, no longer show a black ring around them.
Signing in from WeChat brings you back to the site you were on. The debug button no longer shows up in mobile WeChat.
Bug Fixes
Signing in from WeChat on bibigpt.co or bibigpt.cn brings you back to that site, instead of an authorization error page.
Opening the site in mobile WeChat no longer shows a debug button.
The homepage and the pricing page use one campaign card, and the button matches the plan you already have. If you only have an earlier group buy, you can start this round. Collection folders can be sorted, and you can drag one to the spot you want among the others at the same level. A subfolder in a collection or a subscription can be dragged back to the root. A note preview scrolls. Connected to an AI assistant, you can delete, highlight, note a channel, and organize collections and subscription folders.
New Features
On the collections page, folders at the same level can be sorted by Newest first, Oldest first, Name, or Custom order. The sidebar uses the same order. The choice stays on this device.
To set your own order, drop a folder between two neighbors to place it there, or drop it at the very start or end of that level. The menu also has Move up and Move down. Doing this switches the sort to Custom order, and the sidebar follows. Dropping on the middle of a folder still moves it inside.
Improvements
The homepage and the pricing page fold the campaign into one card: the name and the time left on the left, a button on the right. If you are not subscribed, it says Get 50% off. Plus yearly says Upgrade to Pro · 50% off. Pro yearly can buy another year, and the button says Stock up at half price. Lifetime members still see the referral offer. On the pricing page the card has no extra buy button, because the prices sit right below it.
Connected to an AI assistant, you can delete a collection, a saved video, or a highlight, write a note on a highlight, add a note or a star to a channel, organize what is in a collection, move a collection folder, and manage subscription folders.
Bug Fixes
If your only group is from an earlier round, such as 618, the group-buy page stays on the start page so you can open this round's group. It no longer sends you back to the old group. Earlier groups are listed above the start button, so you can still view a gift code or claim a reward.
Once an earlier group's reward is fully claimed, the sidebar and the homepage stop saying Reward claimed · view gift code and go back to the invite copy. A reward you have not claimed yet is still available from the claim entry.
A subfolder in a collection or a subscription can be dragged back to the root. Drop it on the top bar that says Drop here to move to root. Before, a drop there often would not land.
Note previews scroll again. On summary history, in a collection, and in search, a long note is no longer cut off.
Theme summaries can start from the angles you care about, and that chapter shows content when you open it. The homepage adds the current campaign bar: Double 11 in Chinese, Black Friday in other languages. During the sale, Plus, Pro, and extra minutes are 50% off even if you leave the code blank. Chinese runs through November 11. Black Friday in other languages runs through December 1. Chinese copy now shows about ¥40 a month. Public prompts remember the extra line you add, and a generated image is still there when you come back. The notes panel shrinks with the window, so it no longer spills over the text. Plus local-video minutes refill on your subscription day each month. Feature pages on bibigpt.cn are in Chinese. A Xiaoyuzhou topic page lists its episodes. The weekly fair-use cap counts each video once. Changing your password signs out other devices. AI chat works again.
New Features
Before a theme summary, you can write the angles you want it split into, then generate. Skip that and it groups the way it did before. The angles you type apply only to this run. They are not saved into the chapters someone else sees on the same summary.
Improvements
The homepage has a campaign bar at the top: Double 11 in Chinese, Black Friday in every other language. Dismiss it and it stays gone until the next campaign. From the campaign dialog you can open the share poster and come back.
Plus local-video time, 6,000 minutes, refills in full on your subscription day each month, on the same cycle as the rest of your membership quota. Yearly plans refill on that day every month. The quota shows the next refresh date.
Feature pages on bibigpt.cn are in Chinese.
Plus and Pro, and extra minutes, are 50% off even when you leave the promo code blank. Chinese runs through 24:00 on November 11, Beijing time. Every other language runs through 24:00 on December 1, US Pacific time.
In the last 48 hours, and again on the last day, the banner and dialog switch to a closing reminder. A banner you closed, or a dialog you already saw, shows once more.
Campaign copy on non-Chinese interfaces is in English, instead of Chinese.
Bug Fixes
Opening theme summary shows the chapters instead of a blank section.
A Xiaoyuzhou topic channel lists the episodes in that topic instead of a processing error.
The weekly fair-use cap counts each video once. A failed retry does not count again, and opening a summary that already exists does not count. When the window resets, queued jobs continue on their own. You do not have to paste the batch again.
Changing your password in Settings signs out the other devices.
AI chat works again on the website, the browser extension, the phone app, and the Mac app.
The sign-in dialog no longer shows an internal tracking label.
Promo codes ignore capitalization. A lowercase code still checks out at the sale price.
Chinese campaign copy now shows the yearly 50%-off plan as about ¥40 a month (about ¥485 a year), instead of under ¥6.
Public prompts such as Infographic remember the latest extra line you add. The next generation and a regenerate both include it. After you tap Clear, it stays off. Close the page or switch away and come back, and the image you generated is still there.
The notes panel shrinks with the visible window height. On a short window the notes no longer spill out of the panel or overlap Full Summary underneath, and you can scroll back to the start.
You can now shift all subtitles earlier or later by a few seconds, with the original and translated tracks moving together, and the toolbars above the player and subtitle list are folded into a few menus so narrow layouts no longer get crowded. Document attachments now accept EPUB ebooks, ODT, RTF and legacy Excel (.xls) files, and PowerPoint files keep slide numbers. The group-buy share dialog and campaign popup add a Double 11 poster that carries your own QR code once you pick a language and platform. New Turbo AI and WayinVideo alternative pages, the speech model comparison now comes in 17 languages with audio samples, and signed-in pages download about 340KB less on first load, error pages now show Bibi with a sorry face, and the default icon on web and desktop is now a waving Bibi. Preferences add App icon, letting you pick from 26 Bibi looks, with the desktop Dock and window icons following along. Appearance settings also add a "Bibi" color theme that brings Bibi illustrations to empty lists, summaries in progress, errors and the 404 page, and Bibi in the Feedback dialog changes expression as you go.
New Features
Document attachments and notebook sources now accept EPUB ebooks, ODT, RTF and legacy Excel (.xls) files
New Double 11 poster in the group-buy share dialog, plus a Share poster entry in the top banner and campaign popup: pick Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese or English and a Xiaohongshu, WeChat Moments or vertical layout; the poster adds your group-buy or referral QR code and saves or copies at full resolution
The subtitle list adds Shift all timings: choose earlier or later and enter the seconds, and the original plus any open translated subtitles move together, word timings included, so nothing drifts; anything pushed before zero stops at 00:00
New comparison pages: Turbo AI alternative (bibigpt.co/comparison/turbo-ai-alternative) and WayinVideo alternative (/comparison/wayin-alternative), available in all 17 languages
Preferences add App icon: 5 outfits × 5 expressions plus the classic one. One click applies it and saves it to your account, so it follows you to other devices; on the web it changes the browser tab icon, on Mac desktop the Dock icon, and on Windows desktop the window and taskbar icon, and it stays after a restart
Appearance settings add a "Bibi" color theme: cream background with rose pink, in both light and dark. In this theme, empty lists, summaries in progress, finished summaries, errors and the 404 page show Bibi illustrations
Improvements
PowerPoint files are marked slide by slide in presentation order, so summaries and answers can point to the right slide
EPUB ebooks no longer repeat the book title twice
Document parsing errors now show in your interface language, and scanned PDFs keep whatever text layer they have
The toolbar above the player is folded into two menus: show video, swap sides, hide player and switch player go under Player & layout, and the four downloads (subtitled video, original subtitles only, translation only, audio only) become one Download menu; narrow panels show icons only, wide ones bring the labels back
The first row above the subtitle list now only has Filter, Edit and Subtitle tools; re-transcribe, AI proofreading, segmentation, replace and shortcuts live under Subtitle tools, and burn-in moved into the Download menu; buttons still show a spinner while a job runs
The speech model comparison (bibigpt.co/speech-model-compare) is now available in 17 languages, most voice models in the TTS table have official audio samples, and the local transcription row links straight to the Bibi Local download
Signed-in pages no longer preload the whole in-browser transcription bundle, saving about 340KB on first load; it only loads when you actually transcribe locally
The overseas homepage demo now uses YouTube video covers, the demo copy follows your interface language, and the flow diagram text stays readable in dark mode
When a page errors out or a summary fails, Bibi now shows a sorry face (one for each of the 5 outfits), and the default icon in the browser tab and on desktop is now a waving Bibi
In the Bibi theme, the Feedback dialog changes Bibi's expression as you go: talking while you write, thinking while sending, sorry on errors, waving on success
The home screen icon for the main site is now Bibi
Bug Fixes
The "PayPal or Credit Card" button in the payment dialog is no longer shown in English for every language
In the Mac installer window, the app icon no longer covers the drag arrow in the background
The 404 and error pages now follow your color theme for the background, the "404" number and the buttons
The "Bibi" theme name shows as is in the theme list instead of a raw code string
Feedback now opens right on the page: report a problem or share an idea without leaving for an external form, attach screenshots, and get an email reply once it is handled. When your free quota or remaining minutes run out, the summary area shows what membership includes and the price. The desktop app menu bar and tray now follow your interface language in all 17 languages, and a new speech model comparison page puts transcription, real-time and text-to-speech prices side by side. Note export settings are reorganized into shared settings plus one tab per note app, and async summaries created through the API now read the images in image posts. Volume boost works again for local videos on desktop, and the layout buttons in the video page header now have tooltips in every language.
New Features
"Feedback" in the top bar, sidebar and the bottom-right help menu now opens an in-page dialog: pick Suggestion / Help / Bug / Other, leave your email and a description, and paste or drop up to 3 screenshots; we email you the outcome. If sending fails, your text is kept and you get fallback options such as email
The desktop app's menu bar and system tray menu (standard and Local editions) now display in your interface language, covering all 17 languages. Change the language in Settings and the menus refresh right away, no restart needed. On Windows, menu access keys are set up automatically for the current language
New speech model comparison page (bibigpt.co/speech-model-compare): three tables for transcription, real-time conversation and text-to-speech, with prices normalized per hour or per million characters. Switch currency, estimate your own usage, or show only the models available in BibiGPT
Improvements
When your free quota or remaining minutes run out, the summary area shows what's left, what membership includes and the price, instead of just an error toast
Note export settings are reorganized: body, hashtags, extra tags, which creators get auto-saved and the auto-save overview now sit together as shared settings. Each note app's auto-send switch is back at the top of its own tab, enabled tabs show a green dot, and clicking a name in the overview jumps to that tab
Async summary tasks created through the API now look at the images in Douyin photo posts, WeChat image posts and Xiaohongshu notes, instead of using only the short caption
Free users who have only a little quota left and get blocked when pasting a long video now also receive the "not enough quota left" reminder email
Bug Fixes
Volume boost in the "…" menu works again when playing local videos on desktop; the duplicate boost slider in the player settings, which could not be dragged and fought with ours, is gone
On phone widths, the inner-page header no longer pushes the brand name into the icons; language switch and sign-in become icon buttons
Fixed a duplicated word in the quota reminder email's "about N minutes left" line
Tooltips for the 4 layout buttons in the video page header (such as collapsing the bottom panel) are now available in all 17 languages instead of English only
Two new prompts, Animated Chart and Animated One-Pager, turn a summary into a moving chart you can play and scrub, then export as MP4 or GIF with built-in music. The library's gallery, masonry and list views are rebuilt, with compact two-column cards on phones, and your sort, view and rows-per-page choices are remembered. Getting started is smoother: paste a link while signed out and you're asked to sign in, then the summary picks up right where you left off; after your first summary you'll see how many minutes are left and what to try next. Sorting by creation time no longer empties the summary list, and importing from Baidu Netdisk and Aliyun Drive is faster.
New Features
New Motion Chart prompt: turn a summary into a few seconds of animated chart. The result page, the expanded editor and the share page all get a player bar to play, pause and scrub, and Space and the arrow keys work too. When depth helps, it adds a 3D layer
Export a motion chart as an MP4 video or a GIF right in the browser, with progress shown by stage and a cancel button. Add one of 6 built-in tracks (Upbeat Tech, Bright News, Calm Piano, Lo-fi, Tension, Epic Rise) or your own music; local files are never uploaded
New Animated Infographic prompt: alongside the static one-image summary, it draws an SVG with a few seconds of motion that you can replay and export as MP4 or GIF
Paste a new link while signed out and you'll see "Sign in to start summarizing · 120 free minutes for new accounts". After you sign in, summarizing that video continues automatically, with no need to paste it again
When your first summary finishes, a small card shows how many minutes it used, how many you have left and roughly how many more videos of the same length that covers, plus three next steps: ask AI a question, follow the creator so new videos are summarized automatically, or summarize another
Improvements
Imports from Baidu Netdisk and Aliyun Drive now connect through a mainland China route, saving a few seconds per step. Dropbox and other overseas drives work as before
The library's gallery, masonry and list views are redesigned: compact two-column cards on phones and 3 to 5 columns on desktop. Each card shows the cover, a two-line title, author, time and an excerpt, and the whole card is clickable. List view is now a compact thumbnail-and-text row and loads more as you scroll
Your choices are now remembered: library sort, view and rows per page, the Explore results view, image-video aspect ratio, voice service and voice, prompt market sort and category, the mind map tab, and rows per page in tables such as orders
Motion charts and animations play only while on screen and pause when you scroll away. While one is being written, the page shows how much is done instead of reloading over and over
The sign-in dialog now shows "Get 120 minutes free when you sign up" right under the title instead of in small print; new users land on a page with getting-started tasks after their first sign-in, not an empty video list
When you don't have enough minutes left for a video, you're told exactly how many minutes short you are, with options to upgrade or buy more time
Free users always see their remaining minutes in the sidebar, and the quota is described the same way everywhere: 120 minutes on sign-up, deducted by video length
On phones, the result page shows a more compact title and description so the summary appears sooner
Bug Fixes
Sorting the library by creation time no longer empties the summary list
Summarizing an uncached link while signed out no longer shows only a cryptic error
Non-members summarizing short videos with incomplete subtitles are no longer switched automatically to the members-only Visual Summary tab
Kimi K3.1 Pro is now in the model list for summaries, chat and video understanding. The Android app now supports one-tap WeChat login. Deleting your account is now a guided, step-by-step flow: it explains what will be removed, clears your data item by item with progress after you confirm, and lets you retry from the step that failed. Bilibili parsing is sturdier, the top navigation no longer overflows on narrow phones, and feature pages on bibigpt.cn load faster from mainland China without the occasional blank page. Exported transcripts grouped by speaker now start a new paragraph when the speaker changes. If there aren't multiple speakers, the export dialog only explains that copy and download won't split them, and no longer asks you to transcribe again.
New Features
Kimi K3.1 Pro is now in the model list: pick it for summaries and chat, and for frame-by-frame or whole-video understanding
One-tap WeChat login in the Android app: if WeChat is installed, tap once to authorize in WeChat instead of scanning a QR code. Without WeChat, or on iOS, QR code login still works as before. If your account has not been linked to WeChat yet, you will be asked to scan once to link it
Delete account in Settings is now a step-by-step flow: it first lists what will be removed, then after you confirm it clears your private files, summaries and chats, collections and favorites, creations, and settings and connections one by one with progress shown. If a step fails you can retry from that step. Order and payment records are kept as required
Bug Fixes
Fetching Bilibili video info is sturdier: "Failed to get video info" shows up less often, and multi-part videos are recognized correctly
The top navigation no longer overflows on narrow phones
Feature pages on bibigpt.cn load faster from mainland China when you browse between them, and no longer occasionally hang on a blank page
Grouping an exported transcript by speaker now starts a new paragraph when the speaker changes. Markdown copy, plain text, and download all use the same transcript, so a short conversation shows who said what. The first speaker's name is included, and lines with no speaker label are no longer treated as the same person
If the subtitles don't include multiple speakers, checking Group by speaker or Include speakers only explains that copy and download won't split them into several people, and no longer asks you to transcribe again
Signed in with your phone number or WeChat and your membership seems gone? The Orders page now has "Recover orders": enter the email and password you used to buy your membership and your phone or WeChat sign-in is merged into that paid account. Bilibili summaries are more reliable, and the uploader and publish date no longer go missing.
New Features
New "Recover orders" on the Orders page: if you signed in with a phone number or WeChat and can't see your earlier membership or orders, enter the email and password you used when you paid. Once verified, your current phone or WeChat sign-in is merged into that paid account and you are switched over right away; cases that can't be merged automatically point you to support
Bug Fixes
Bilibili links resolve much more reliably, so summaries fail far less often with "couldn't fetch video info"
Fixed some Bilibili summaries missing the uploader and publish date under the title
The desktop app's local edition (Bibi Local) adds Batch Digest: pick a folder collection and a date range to separate the speakers in every file at once, name them once and later files recognize them automatically, then summarize what a given person said or ask questions across the whole batch. You can also add an entire folder at once, and files that were already processed reuse their results. In the local edition, clicking a model card that isn't downloaded yet — transcription or text model — now starts the download right away with a progress bar, and queued tasks wait for the model to finish downloading and then continue transcribing and summarizing instead of stopping at "Model not downloaded". After installing, the built-in speech models are recognized instead of being downloaded again, and the bundled models are much smaller. The local edition adds an optional uncensored Qwen3.5-4B text model and the Qwen3-ASR transcription model, which understands 22 Chinese dialects. Local summaries of long content use fewer chunks — about three hours of Chinese speech can now be summarized in one pass — and long inputs are no longer cut off midway on slower computers. The web app's in-browser local mode now downloads its models from servers in China, making downloads faster and more reliable, with automatic fallback to another source. The out-of-quota pricing card now pops up automatically only once per result page, and if the payment popup fails to load it closes itself and offers full-page checkout instead. In the desktop app, subscribing by pasting a link to a YouTube playlist or other overseas channel from China no longer fails with "Unable to get channel info"; on the China edition or mainland route, you're prompted to switch to the overseas route for overseas channels, or you can keep the current route. When the bibi command line summarizes a Bilibili paid or members-only video you can only preview, it now warns that the content is incomplete or asks you to authorize an account first. The browser extension also gets an update: the extension now recognizes users who sign in on the China site, chat in the side panel no longer asks you to sign in again after you restart the browser, and video pages get a one-click "Add to Watch Later" button under the side panel button.
New Features
The local edition adds Batch Digest: pick a folder collection and a date range to separate the speakers in every file in one go (one failed file doesn't stop the batch); name a speaker once and their voice is remembered, so later files get the name automatically; summarize what a given person said, with citations that jump back to that exact line in the original file, or ask questions across the whole batch
The local edition can add an entire folder: it finds audio and video files including subfolders, reuses results for files that were already processed, and only hands you the new ones to configure; added folders become collections
The local edition adds an optional text model: Qwen3.5-4B (uncensored)
The local edition adds the Qwen3-ASR 0.6B transcription model: 30 languages plus 22 Chinese dialects; pick it manually on the model cards when you need it
The browser extension adds an "Add to Watch Later" button under the side panel button on video pages, saving the video in one click, with an undo option in the banner at the top
Improvements
The local edition sidebar can group items by date (recording time, date in the file name, modified time, or processing time) or by folder; when a file lacks the chosen date, another one is used and labeled so you know which
On the local edition's result page, subtitles from files with separated speakers show the speaker's name in front
Optional text models in the local edition download faster and more reliably
Local edition transcription model cards: clicking a model that isn't downloaded yet starts the download immediately, with progress shown on the card and a retry button if it fails; selecting several models queues them to download one after another
In the local edition's processing queue, tasks that use a transcription model you picked but that is still downloading now wait for the download and then continue automatically, instead of stopping at "Model not downloaded"; items that previously stopped because that model was missing are re-transcribed once it finishes
Local summaries of long content use fewer chunks: about three hours of Chinese speech can be summarized in one pass, with less stitching — faster and more coherent from start to finish
Local edition text model cards: clicking a model that isn't downloaded yet starts the download immediately, with progress shown on the card; downloads resume after interruptions and are checked for integrity
In the local edition's processing queue, tasks that use a text model you picked but that is still downloading now wait for the download before summarizing, with the download percentage shown on the task, instead of failing with "Model not downloaded"
The speech models bundled with the local edition installer shrink from about 1.56 GB to about 587 MB
The web app's in-browser local mode now downloads speech and text models from servers in China, so downloads are faster and more reliable there; if a file fails to download, it automatically retries from another source
Bug Fixes
Local summaries of very long content are no longer cut off midway because the computer processes slowly
The result page's "Download and continue" now shares the same download progress as the model cards, and progress from a model downloading elsewhere is no longer shown on the current task
After installing the local edition, the built-in speech models are recognized correctly and are no longer downloaded again
The pricing card shown when you run out of quota now pops up automatically only once per result page instead of repeatedly; it prompts again only after you switch videos or refresh
If the payment popup hasn't loaded after 20 seconds, it closes itself and offers to open checkout as a full page — your payment is still credited to your account; inside in-app browsers like WeChat or Instagram, checkout opens as a full page directly
When you subscribe by pasting a link in the desktop app, it now reads the feed on your computer first to get the channel name, fixing "Unable to get channel info" errors for users in China subscribing to YouTube playlists and other overseas channels
On the desktop app's China edition or mainland route, subscribing to an overseas channel now prompts you to switch to the overseas route, and the link you pasted is filled back in after switching; you can also choose "Keep current route" to fetch it on your computer instead
When the bibi command line summarizes a Bilibili paid or members-only video your account can only preview, it now compares the downloaded audio with the full length: if the preview is long enough it summarizes it and warns that the content is incomplete, suggesting you authorize an account with access in the desktop app's Settings; if it's too short it asks you to authorize first, and retrying after authorizing no longer reuses the old preview audio
Playing Bilibili videos from b23.tv short links in the desktop app now uses your authorized account too, just like full links
Users in China who sign in on bibigpt.cn are now recognized by the browser extension, fixing sign-in that never seemed to take effect after clicking "Sign in"
Chat in the browser extension's side panel now uses the extension's own sign-in, so you no longer need to sign in again after closing and reopening the browser
The browser extension's system notifications show up properly again, and results from the right-click "Watch Later" menu are now shown as system notifications
After closing the side panel with its own close button, the extension's floating button no longer needs two clicks to reopen it; a page-level shortcut that duplicated the extension's shortcut has been removed
Bibi Local in the desktop app now shows how long each step took — transcription, summary and chat — in the sidebar, the task queue and on the result page. Transcription and summary models are now shown as cards with accuracy and speed ratings, plus whether your computer has enough memory to run them, and Bibi Local recommends a summary model based on your memory. The home page brings back transcription model, summary model and summary language right under the upload box, and settings now let you set the chat language separately and write your own summary prompt. With Web search on, AI chat no longer ends up with no answer or a blank reply stuck on "Thinking". The "failed to summarize" link list can now be cleared with one tap, and its count shows the real total. Bibi Local also handles long audio: it transcribes in segments by speech, shows progress and can be cancelled, and a rerun after an interrupted summary only fills in what's missing. Timestamps in summaries jump to that spot when clicked, the Subtitles tab can re-transcribe with a different model and language, model downloads resume and are verified, and when a file has no audio track or no speech you're told why and offered a fix.
New Features
After Bibi Local finishes an item, it shows how long transcription, summary and chat each took — under the item in the sidebar, in the task queue at the top right, and at the top of the result page. The result page also names the model used and the transcription speed (e.g. "12× real time"), and each chat reply shows how long it took
Bibi Local's transcription and summary models are now cards: each shows accuracy and speed, and whether it will strain your computer's memory. Settings show your memory, CPU and acceleration, and recommend a summary model that fits your memory (a recommended model you switch to downloads separately the first time you use it)
Bibi Local's Subtitles tab on the result page now has "Re-transcribe": pick a different transcription model and audio language to redo the subtitles. Your old subtitles and summary stay until the new subtitles are ready, the summary is then regenerated automatically, and your chat is kept
Bibi Local can now handle long audio: it transcribes in segments by speech and shows "segment X of Y", and items that are processing or queued can be cancelled. The summary is saved section by section, so a rerun after a failure or cancel only fills in the remaining sections
Timestamps in Bibi Local summaries are now clickable and jump straight to that spot; chat finds the relevant subtitle passages for your question (including any time you mention) to answer it
Improvements
Bibi Local's home page brings back a row of quick settings under the upload box: transcription model, summary model, summary language and "More settings"
Bibi Local settings are now split into three tabs — Models & device, Summary & chat, and General. Summary language and chat language can be set separately, and you can write your own summary prompt, which is added on top of the default instructions
Bibi Local's sidebar has a home icon in the top-left corner, and the desktop download page now has a card for the local privacy edition right below the first screen
The "failed to summarize" link list now has a "Delete all" button that clears it in one go after you confirm (it only clears this list and doesn't touch your existing summaries), on both the web and the app. The list count now shows the real total instead of always stopping at "50" or "100"
Bibi Local's sidebar brings back language and Light / Dark / System theme switches (also in Settings → General); on macOS the header leaves room for the window buttons in the top-left corner; the question box grows with your text and no longer shows a permanent horizontal scrollbar; built-in and downloaded transcription models are listed first
Bibi Local adds a full-precision SenseVoice transcription model you can pick in the transcription model list
Bibi Local model downloads now resume where they left off and are checked for integrity, and a failed download tells you whether it was the network, verification, disk or extraction. Transcription no longer quietly downloads a missing model — it shows the size first and only downloads when you click "Download and continue"; the text model also asks you to confirm its size before the first download
Bug Fixes
With Web search on in AI chat, the AI no longer searches several times and then gives no answer, and you no longer get an extra blank reply stuck on "Thinking". When you explicitly ask it to search the web, it always does, and questions about recent events are searched with today's date in mind instead of being answered with "that year hasn't happened yet"
Subtitles from macOS system recognition in Bibi Local now break and align by sentence, instead of drifting out of sync or producing one-word lines
Bibi Local's player now shows subtitles the first time you play
When a file has no audio track or no speech, or the summary times out, Bibi Local no longer shows "Done" with no summary: it tells you why and offers buttons to change the file, re-transcribe, re-summarize or switch models
Summaries and visual analysis now offer MiniMax M3.1 Flash, a newly available Chinese model you can pick in the model menu. In the desktop app, the Bibi Local sidebar is now the single place for local items, each of which you can retry, rename, or delete; long audio is summarized in sections, with progress and elapsed time shown. History for videos and audio processed on your computer is now stored on your computer, and older items move over the first time you open the app. "Add new content" in Bibi Local takes you back to the home page to pick a file instead of a sign-in link dialog, and no longer wipes local history. The AI RSS home page lets you try a sample channel first.
New Features
On the desktop app, history for videos and audio processed on your computer is now saved in the app data folder instead of only in the app's browser storage. After updating, older records move over automatically the first time you open it. Signing out of the regular app clears these records too; Bibi Local keeps them
The model menu for summaries and visual analysis now offers MiniMax M3.1 Flash, a newly available Chinese model you can switch to
The Bibi Local sidebar is now the single place for your local items: grouped by Today, Yesterday, and Earlier, and each item can be retried, renamed, or deleted. Retrying reuses the transcript you already have and only regenerates the summary
Bibi Local now summarizes long local audio in sections and merges them into one summary, and shows progress and elapsed time while summarizing, like "Generating summary 2/4 1m05s"
The AI RSS home page adds a "Try a sample channel" link, so you can see how it works before you have a channel link; if you only want to summarize one video, one click takes you back to the home page
Improvements
When Bibi Local processes several files in a batch, it no longer jumps away from the result you're viewing; you get a notice when each one is done and can tap View to open it. File upload now comes first on the home page
In Bibi Local, results without a summary have a Generate summary button, and you can open the history folder from Settings
Bug Fixes
In Bibi Local, every Add new content button takes you back to the home screen to pick a local file, instead of opening the online link dialog that asks you to sign in. Picking a file while signed out no longer clears your local history and queued tasks
Bibi Local no longer shows account prompts such as the paid-plan banner, promo pop-ups, or upgrade dialogs
Tasks in the sidebar that don't have subtitles yet now show which step they're on, or why they failed. Records without a summary open straight to the subtitle page. Speech recognition no longer stays stuck on "Loading speech model" after it has started
In Bibi Local, regenerating a summary on the result page now works the same as automatic summaries; audio on the result page still plays after restarting the app; and a finished summary with no text no longer stays stuck on "Generating summary"
AI chat has a new Web search toggle: for news, data, and facts the video doesn't cover, the AI searches the web first and answers with source links. While the mobile app is open, notifications now show as in-app messages with a View button instead of system banners.
New Features
The AI chat box has a new Web search toggle: when it's on, the AI searches the web for news, data, and facts the video doesn't cover before answering, and includes source links. Your choice is remembered next time. Each successful search costs 1 credit (or 1 minute of time); searches that fail are not charged
Improvements
When the mobile app is open, notifications (like a finished summary) now show as an in-app message with a View button that opens the content directly, instead of a system banner and sound. You won't be notified about the item you're already viewing, and summary progress and background recording stay quietly in the notification tray
On Windows, the bibi command line no longer prints nothing in PowerShell or other terminals: summaries and help text show up as expected and can be piped or saved to a file. Single Douyin video links with modal_id now open that video's summary instead of getting stuck on the channel page with a "network issue" message.
Bug Fixes
On Windows, running the bibi command line in PowerShell (for example bibi --help or bibi summarize) no longer produces no output: results print normally, the command returns an exit code when it finishes, and output can be piped or redirected to a file. Launching the desktop app from a terminal no longer ties up that terminal. Existing users get the fix automatically after updating the app
Opening a single Douyin video link that carries modal_id (from a share, bookmark, or your history) now goes straight to that video's summary instead of getting stuck on the channel page with a "network issue" message
Connecting BibiGPT to an AI assistant over MCP no longer fails for accounts that had already used the Open API or a subscription integration. The desktop app can now sign in with WeChat quick login through your system browser. Long summaries in the WeChat Official Account no longer vanish, and you can now send a video straight to the Official Account to summarize. Reminder emails now carry an unsubscribe link, and the unsubscribe page can also take you off the BibiGPT newsletter.
New Features
The desktop app now supports WeChat quick login: signing in opens your system browser, and once you log in there with WeChat it hands you back to the app, already signed in
You can send a video directly to the BibiGPT WeChat Official Account: it replies "received" right away and sends the summary back in about 1-3 minutes
Improvements
Reminder emails (first-summary nudges, 80% or used-up quota notices, and similar) now end with an unsubscribe link, and your mail app's one-click unsubscribe works too; once you unsubscribe, these reminders stop. The unsubscribe page also offers an unchecked-by-default option to unsubscribe from the BibiGPT newsletter at the same time
The WeChat Official Account and WeChat ClawBot now only handle links from mainland China platforms (Bilibili, Douyin, Xiaohongshu, Kuaishou, Xiaoyuzhou, Ximalaya, WeChat articles, and more); other links get an immediate "not supported" reply and do not use your daily quota, and unsupported message types now tell you what you can send
Bug Fixes
Authorizing BibiGPT over MCP from an AI assistant no longer shows "Failed to create access token" for accounts that had already used the Open API or a subscription integration; one authorization now connects
Long summaries in the WeChat Official Account are no longer silently dropped for exceeding WeChat's reply length: the text is trimmed and ends with a link to the full version
When your daily quota in the WeChat Official Account is used up, you now get a quota notice instead of no reply at all
The web app can now download Baidu Netdisk files up to 50 MB, and the desktop app downloads large cloud-drive files over several parallel connections, so they finish faster; the Baidu Netdisk page explains up front that Baidu sets download speed by membership tier. When WeChat for desktop isn't running, the sign-in page shows the WeChat Official Account QR code first, with a one-click switch if WeChat for desktop is signed in. Baidu Netdisk sign-in no longer spins forever and can be cancelled. WeChat QR-code sign-in on the web and in the app no longer fails to load the QR code, and membership expiry reminders from the WeChat Official Account go out on time again. Accounts that signed in with WeChat but have no linked email now get a banner prompting them to link one, so membership and history aren't lost when switching devices. The AI Chats and Official Prompts lists in My Outputs open much faster, and the China site no longer spins for a long time. Links from Bilibili, Douyin, Xiaohongshu, Kuaishou, Xigua Video, Xiaoyuzhou, Ximalaya, NetEase Cloud Music, WeChat articles and WeChat Channels are no longer wrongly blocked because of ordinary words in the title or description. The channel page notice and buttons now have text in every interface language, and when a channel page fails to load or asks you to sign in, one click takes you to the homepage to try summarizing any video link. Share text with a full-width title right after a short link is now recognized correctly.
New Features
The web app can now download Baidu Netdisk files up to 50 MB directly, no desktop app needed; for larger files it points you to the desktop app
Improvements
The AI Chats list in My Outputs no longer pulls back local videos attached to a chat, and the Official Prompts list only fetches the opening text the cards show, so both open much faster and the China site no longer spins for a long time. The grouped view expands only the first 6 groups by default
In the desktop app, files of 16 MB or more imported from Baidu Netdisk and other cloud drives now download in chunks over several parallel connections, so they finish faster and any interrupted chunk retries automatically. Sources that don't support chunked downloads keep downloading the old way
The Baidu Netdisk page in the desktop app now explains up front that download speed is set by Baidu based on your membership tier: SVIP is unthrottled, while other accounts are rate-limited by Baidu
If the sign-in page can't detect WeChat for desktop, it shows the WeChat Official Account QR code first; scan and follow to sign in. Below it, "Signed in to WeChat for desktop? Sign in with one click" brings up the WeChat for desktop quick confirm, and you can switch back to the QR code at any time
If you signed in with WeChat and haven't linked an email yet, a banner at the top now prompts you to link one in your profile, so your membership and history are still there when you sign in with email on another device. You can dismiss the banner
When a channel page fails to load or asks you to sign in, the card now has a "Try on homepage →" button that takes you straight to the homepage to summarize any video link
Bug Fixes
Links from Bilibili, Douyin, Xiaohongshu, Kuaishou, Xigua Video, Xiaoyuzhou, Ximalaya, NetEase Cloud Music, WeChat articles and WeChat Channels are no longer wrongly blocked from parsing because the title or description mentions ordinary words such as historical figures or place names
The channel page notice, bio expand toggle, channel note and Feedly subscribe button now have text in every interface language
Signing in to Baidu Netdisk on the web and on Windows no longer spins forever: a failed authorization now shows an error, and you can click Cancel while signing in
WeChat QR-code sign-in on the web and in the app no longer fails to load the QR code, and membership expiry reminders from the WeChat Official Account are sent on time again
When a short link in shared text is immediately followed by a full-width title such as 【title】 or 《title》, the title is no longer swallowed into the link, so pasting the whole share text works
The China site shows the Google, X, GitHub, Notion and Apple sign-in buttons again, so returning users can sign in the way they always did. Request examples on the Open API settings page now follow the address you are visiting, so you can copy and run them as is. Signing in with email, a magic link or a phone number no longer switches the interface back to English. On the China site you can now open the blog and explore pages, and the language menu lists every language. The desktop app's About page adds "Auto" and "China" route options. When a subscribed YouTube channel fails to update, you now see why and what to do.
New Features
When a YouTube channel in your subscriptions fails to update, the list now explains why and what to do: in the desktop app you can switch to the international route in one click and pull again, and on the web you get a signed-in link to the international site. If the creator also posts on Bilibili, subscribing to their Bilibili page is recommended
Improvements
The China site's sign-in area shows Google, X, GitHub, Notion and Apple again: GitHub, Notion and Apple authorize on the same site and bring you back there, while Google and X finish on the international site and carry your interface language over. Google and X accounts that are already linked can still be unlinked in account settings
The GET / POST request examples on the Open API settings page no longer hardcode one address. They follow the address you are visiting (or, in the desktop app, the route it actually connects to), so you can copy and run them directly
Calling the Open API through the China site with a link from an overseas platform now returns a clear message with the international API address to use instead
The header on the China site (bibigpt.cn) now opens the blog and explore pages directly, in the site's Simplified Chinese version
The language menu on the China site lists every language; picking anything other than Simplified Chinese opens the same page on the international site in that language
The route setting on the desktop app's About page adds "Auto" and "China": with Auto, the app checks your network at launch and picks a route that connects. A route you chose by hand is never changed automatically
Bug Fixes
After signing in with email and password, a magic link or a phone number, the interface keeps the language you picked before signing in instead of switching back to English
Opening product pages such as Agent, MCP and Developers on the China site no longer bounces you back to the home page
The store page on the China site no longer shows two headers stacked on top of each other
The pricing page can now show prices in your local currency: besides US dollars and Chinese yuan, you can pick from 17 currencies such as euro, yen, won and pound, and the default follows your interface language. A line under the cards explains how you actually pay: Alipay / WeChat Pay are charged in CNY, PayPal / cards in USD. The yearly "per day" price is now worked out from what you will really pay. The standalone AI Watch Later, Twemex and photo story sites have moved to app pages on bibigpt.co, and old links redirect automatically. Clicking a timestamp in the summary or transcript while paused now jumps there and keeps playing, and scrolling through a long AI-polished article no longer stutters while paragraphs are being polished. On very long courses, AI polish now works on the part you are reading, with a one-click option to polish everything, and the page no longer freezes.
New Features
The ¥ / $ toggle on the pricing page is now a currency menu. Besides USD and CNY you can pick EUR, GBP, JPY, KRW, HKD, SGD, AUD, CAD, CHF, INR, IDR, THB, BRL, MXN, PLN, TRY and SEK. The default follows your interface language, so the Japanese interface shows yen
Improvements
A line under the prices now says how you will be charged: with CNY, Alipay / WeChat Pay are charged in yuan; with any other currency, prices get a "≈", show the date and rate used for the conversion, and note that PayPal / cards are still charged in USD, so the price you see matches what you pay
The yearly "per day" figure is now your actual price (after promo codes and returning-member discounts) divided by 365, converted into the currency you picked. The old "less than ¥1 a day" line, which did not match real prices, is gone
The standalone AI Watch Later, Twemex and photo story sites now live as app pages on bibigpt.co, and old links redirect there automatically. The install button on the Watch Later page now installs the BibiGPT browser extension
Clicking a timestamp in the summary, double-clicking a transcript line, picking a chapter, or clicking a timestamp in the polished article now jumps there and resumes playback, even if the video was paused. Dragging the progress bar and editing subtitle times work as before
AI polish no longer freezes the page on very long courses (say, a 20-plus-hour class): past 30 sections it polishes only the sections near where you are reading, and the progress bar offers a one-click "Polish all" with an estimated time. Copy, download and export no longer rebuild the whole article over and over
Bug Fixes
While AI polishes a long article, each finished paragraph no longer re-renders the whole page, so scrolling down no longer freezes every few seconds
Custom summaries get a new "Course notes" template, and summaries of course videos suggest applying it in one click. Full Text now remembers the reading mode you used last, and videos that already have a polished version open straight to AI Polish. The results page on phones has fewer buttons, and its tab bar no longer wraps onto several lines. Sidebar and results-page buttons in the English interface use shorter labels. If you close the payment window without paying, you are told that any pending charge on your card is only an authorization hold your bank will release. Scanning the WeChat QR code to sign in on bibigpt.cn from a computer now returns you to bibigpt.cn. The desktop app and bibigpt.co switch to a China-based route automatically when some networks cannot connect. Douyin and similar video screenshots retry automatically when they fail. PDF exports in the WeChat, Magazine, Paper and Dark themes are faster, with text you can select and search, and pages no longer cut a line in half. Batch exports of several items also finish faster.
New Features
The custom summary template list has a new "Course notes" template: it organizes a lesson into a knowledge framework, the points the teacher stressed, formulas and steps, key timestamps and self-test questions, and once saved every lesson comes out in that format. For online courses and lectures, a line under the default summary asks "Want study notes you can review directly?" Click it to start a new custom summary with the template filled in, or dismiss it
Improvements
Full Text remembers whether you last read the Transcript or AI Polish and opens that mode next time; "Read full text" follows the same choice. AI Rewrite is not remembered, so it does not generate for every new video on its own
Results page on phones: the tab bar is a single row you can swipe; copy, download and export show icons only; the side-by-side layout toggle in AI Polish moves into the "More" menu; the three Full Text tabs use smaller icons so they no longer wrap
Sidebar and results-page buttons in the English interface use shorter labels, such as Library, Collections, Full Text, AI Polish and Transcript
If you close the payment window without paying, a notice says the payment did not go through: a pending charge on your card is only an authorization hold, your bank releases it automatically and you are not charged. Try another card or payment method. Payment messages are now translated, so users outside China no longer see them in Chinese
PDF exports in the WeChat, Magazine, Paper and Dark themes are now typeset directly instead of slicing one long image into pages: text can be selected, copied and searched, page breaks fall between lines rather than through them, and pages get numbers and bookmarks. Long articles with images also export much faster. If typesetting ever fails, export falls back to the previous method, so it still completes
Batch export now prepares several items at once, so the whole export takes less time
Bug Fixes
Videos that already have a polished version now open to AI Polish in Full Text, instead of stopping at the transcript
Scanning the WeChat QR code to sign in on bibigpt.cn from a computer now returns you to bibigpt.cn and signs you in to the same account as before
When the desktop app or bibigpt.co cannot reach the sign-in and data service on some networks, it switches to a China-based route automatically, and also switches over and retries once if the connection drops mid-session. No more failed sign-ins or content that never loads
When a screenshot from Douyin or a similar video fails now and then, it retries once over another route. Errors that need fresh access credentials are retried too instead of being marked as failed right away
The AI highlights panel in the editor can now cut a condensed version of the whole video in one click, with your choice of length, style and platform. Several highlights under one topic can also be merged into a single short video for export. Bilibili videos re-fetch expired audio links instead of failing over and over. Tapping one-tap WeChat sign-in inside the mobile WeChat app now finishes signing you in after authorization, and the sign-in dialog shows that button right away. WeChat sign-in on bibigpt.cn now returns you to bibigpt.cn, and email and password sign-in is available there too. bibigpt.cn sign-in and loading issues on some networks are fixed.
New Features
New "AI condensed cut" in the editor's AI highlights panel: pick a target length (about 30 seconds to 3 minutes), a style (key takeaways / story and emotion / punchy fast cuts) and a platform (Douyin / WeChat Channels, Xiaohongshu, Bilibili, YouTube Shorts), and get a condensed cut of the whole video that opens straight into export. Built for long content like podcasts and courses
Multiple AI highlight clips under the same topic can be merged with "Combine these clips into one short video". Clips are joined in time order and overlaps are merged automatically
Bug Fixes
When a Bilibili video is processed again later, expired audio links are fetched fresh instead of failing every time. Errors that retrying cannot fix, such as a dead link, are no longer retried over and over
Tapping "One-tap WeChat sign-in" inside the mobile WeChat app now finishes signing you in after authorization, instead of returning to the page with nothing happening
Fixed bibigpt.cn failing to sign in, dropping your session on refresh, or not loading lists on some networks (such as China Mobile)
One-tap WeChat sign-in on bibigpt.cn now brings you back to bibigpt.cn after authorization instead of another site. The sign-in area adds "Phone / Email" tabs, so you can also sign in, sign up and reset your password with email
Inside the mobile WeChat app, the sign-in dialog now shows "One-tap WeChat sign-in" right away instead of hiding it behind a collapsed section
Apple Podcasts shows that are not listed in the China store now get their audio, links resolve faster, and one failed episode no longer blocks the whole show. When audio truly cannot be fetched, the message says why. Changing your password signs you out on your other devices.
Bug Fixes
Apple Podcasts shows that are not listed in the China store (such as Moonshots and No Priors) now get their audio instead of failing. The China store is tried first, then the region in your link
Apple Podcasts links resolve faster. Shows missing from the China store used to stall for over ten seconds; processing now starts in about 6 seconds
One failed episode no longer stops the whole show from being processed for 24 hours
When the audio truly cannot be fetched, the message explains why instead of showing an English error code. The same on the web and in the app
After you change your password, you are signed out on your other devices and browsers. The device you are using stays signed in
Image generation now offers Qwen Image 2.1 Turbo and Qwen Image 2.1 Pro. AI chat on a single video reads the whole transcript before it answers, and each citation number points to a time range. Follow-up questions on the same video use less of a member's monthly allowance. You get an email when free summary time runs out, and two reminders after your first summary. When someone enters your invite code, the time already on your account is no longer cut back to 20 hours. The desktop app button in the welcome email opens the download page.
New Features
Image generation adds Qwen Image 2.1 Turbo and Qwen Image 2.1 Pro. Turbo is fast, about 20 seconds an image; Pro holds poster text and fine detail better. Both can edit an image from one sentence, such as adding an accessory or swapping the background
When free summary time runs out, you get an email saying new summaries are paused and the ones you already made are still there. Only accounts that have made at least one summary and have not paid get it. If one use takes you from above 80% straight to zero, you get this email only, not the 80% one first. If your own balance alert is on and this use also crosses the line you set, this email is not sent
If a day passes after your first summary and you have not asked it a question, you get an email with that summary's title that opens it directly. If three days pass and it is still your only summary, a second email suggests pasting one more link. When both apply, only the later one goes out, and if you already got another reminder that day, it waits
Improvements
AI chat on a single video reads the whole transcript before it answers, instead of a few picked passages. Each [n] citation in the answer points to one transcript segment, and opening it jumps to that time. When a transcript is very long, the passages that match the question are used, and the answer says so when something is not covered
When a member keeps asking about the same video, the transcript it reads again counts at one tenth toward the monthly allowance
Bug Fixes
When someone enters your invite code, the time already on your account is no longer cut back to 20 hours. 20 hours is the most invite rewards can add up to. That cap now applies to the reward only, not to time you bought
The desktop app button in the welcome email now opens the download page instead of the overview page
Tags can nest, a collection can have an emoji, and the sidebar lists only the tags you pin. Extra collections stay in the same column when you expand them, instead of looking nested. In note export you choose which creators are written, and a video link you save by hand also goes to notes you turned on. On the desktop app, a Bibi Local summary keeps its text, and a WeChat scan finishes the bind into the same account as the official-account scan. In Subtitle Studio, turning off word-by-word highlight no longer burns a karaoke color change, and a new burn asks before it replaces a video that is already there. If the first summary has not started within two hours of signing up, or free summary time is about 80% used, you get an email.
New Features
Tags in a note can nest. Write #Parent/Child with a slash and no spaces. The tags page shows them as a tree, and opening a parent includes its children
A collection can have one emoji, so stacked collections are easier to tell apart
If you sign up and the first summary has not started within two hours, you get an email saying the account is ready. Starting a summary during those two hours stops that email
When free summary time is about 80% used, you get an email that says how much is left. Accounts that have already paid do not get it. If your own balance alert is on, and this use also crosses the line you set, or that alert already went out today, this email is not sent
Improvements
The sidebar lists only tags you pin. The full tag tree stays on the tags page
In note export, Which creators are saved is where you pick the starred creators. It no longer sits in notification settings. Each note's auto-send switch sits under Where notes are written. When it is on, channel updates go there, and so does every video link you save yourself. Special follow only chooses which creators' updates are written. Links you save yourself skip that filter
In the user menu, this item is now called Membership badge, and the label lines up with the items under it
Bug Fixes
On the desktop app, a finished Bibi Local summary keeps readable text instead of completing with a blank summary
After you scan WeChat on the desktop app, the bind finishes instead of saying the bind details were lost. The WeChat account on this computer and a scan of the official account go to the same account, instead of creating a second one
In Subtitle Studio, turning off word-by-word highlight no longer changes the color of words as they are spoken in the burned video. With highlight on, the color follows each word's real timing. If a video is already there, a new burn asks before it replaces that file. Cancel keeps the old file, and a failed encode does not delete it. You can cap how many characters each subtitle line holds. A line that is too long splits at punctuation, so the burn no longer wraps the whole sentence onto two lines
In the sidebar, collections after the first three stay in the same column when you expand them, instead of indenting as if they sat inside another collection. The button that expands or collapses them is centered and shows an arrow
When you export a note, you can leave out the bracket timestamps. A manual export on the web, and export in the phone app, leave them out. Auto-sync keeps those anchors. Image Video shows voice names, and the narration can be rewritten into spoken Chinese or a kids-science script before it is read aloud. Subtitle Studio on the desktop app no longer crashes while previewing a long video. On bibigpt.cn, channel subscriptions show China platforms only, and the desktop app fills in channel updates on this computer. Paid members can hide the membership badge in the sidebar.
New Features
When you export a note, you can leave out the bracket timestamps. [01:23] in the full summary, the polished note, and the transcript is not written out, and neither is the line labeled 时间段 or a trailing sub-segment time on a heading. Timestamps that are already links, numbered citations such as [3], and the jump chips on the page stay. A manual export on the web, and export in the phone app, leave them out. Turn that off in export settings to keep them. Auto-sync keeps the anchors, so notes already synced are not rewritten. Turn the switch on there if you want them left out
In Image Video, the voice list shows voice names. Before it is read aloud, the narration and the subtitles can be rewritten into spoken Chinese, or into a kids-science script, and then read in the voice you picked
Improvements
On bibigpt.cn, channel subscriptions show China platforms only. Channels from overseas platforms are not listed on the China site, and the page links to the overseas site. Subscriptions you already have stay on the account
On the desktop app, channel updates are fetched on this computer. YouTube, Xiaoyuzhou, and other public feeds that used to show a failed fetch can fill in new items
Paid members can turn off Prestige badge in the user menu, so the sidebar no longer keeps the membership badge on screen. On the desktop app, the top of the sidebar is a home square. The website still shows the same mark as before
Bug Fixes
The first time you tap Share, the link you copy is for this item. A placeholder invite no longer covers it
Special follow on a channel is only a star, and it changes as soon as you tap it. You can filter to special follows, and platform names no longer stack one character per line. With the main switch on, only starred channels are written to your notes. Each row no longer has its own auto-save switch
On the desktop app, Subtitle Studio no longer reads the whole video into memory while previewing, so a long video no longer crashes the app. The original and the translation can use their own font and color
A Douyin Selected video with no subtitles no longer stays on Queued. Transcription starts again
Previewing a podcast with pictures on Safari and iPhone draws the picture, instead of leaving only the background. Opening Subtitle Studio on the desktop app no longer crashes the page. Xiaohongshu images and WeChat article illustrations can use Seedream 5.0 Flash and Tencent Hy Image 3.5.
New Features
Xiaohongshu images and WeChat article illustrations can use Seedream 5.0 Flash. It is faster than Seedream 5 Lite, from 1K to 2K, with up to 10 reference images. On the web and in the app
Xiaohongshu images and WeChat article illustrations can use Tencent Hy Image 3.5. It can make a picture from text or change one from reference images, with up to 20 reference images, up to 4K. On the web and in the app
Bug Fixes
After a podcast with pictures is ready, preview on Safari and iPhone draws the picture instead of leaving only the background. The Mac desktop app does the same
Opening Subtitle Studio on the desktop app no longer crashes the page. You can open a job, switch the subtitle source, change the subtitle style, and look at subtitle history
Pinning a custom prompt now says Pinned personalized prompt, so it is no longer labeled Default and mixed up with Default video summaries. On Summary Settings, Save, Delete, the template name, and Summary now use the local language where they were still in English.
Bug Fixes
Pinning a custom prompt shows Pinned personalized prompt instead of Default. It is your own prompt, and later summaries follow it. It is separate from Default video summaries
On Summary Settings, Save, Delete, the template name, and Summary now use the local language where those labels were still in English
Bilingual subtitle burn-in can set the original and the translation to different sizes. The translation used to stay 2 pixels smaller than the original, so the two lines did not line up.
New Features
When you burn bilingual subtitles, the original and the translation each have a size. The preview and the exported file both use the sizes you set. Until you move the translation size, it stays 2 pixels smaller than the original, and it does not go below 12
The collection you choose before summarizing is remembered. After a refresh, new summaries still land in that same collection, instead of only in My Videos.
Bug Fixes
If you choose Add to Collection before summarizing, that choice stays after you refresh the page. Later summaries keep going into the same collection, instead of only showing up in My Videos. When you submit several links at once and a collection is chosen, the note says they join that collection after summarizing. If none is chosen, the note points you to My Videos
Summaries can switch to a faster Qwen3.8 27B. On bibigpt.co, checking YouTube or TikTok waits until you search. Opening website settings from a paid preview no longer breaks the page. The WeChat sign-in dialog no longer jumps while the code loads. Local privacy can now be downloaded on Mac with Apple silicon. The Windows button on the desktop download page downloads a zip, so Chrome no longer warns that the file is not commonly downloaded.
New Features
Summaries can switch to a faster Qwen3.8 27B. The existing Qwen3.8 27B stays in the picker. This is a separate option
On the desktop download page, Local privacy can now be downloaded on Mac with Apple silicon. It handles files on this computer only, with no account. Linux is still unavailable
Improvements
On bibigpt.co, after you check Include YouTube or Include TikTok, the page waits until you search. Checking the box no longer leaves immediately
Bug Fixes
Opening website settings from a paid preview no longer breaks the page
While the WeChat login code is still loading, the sign-in dialog keeps the same height instead of jumping taller. The placeholder is not a scannable code
On the desktop download page, the Windows button downloads a zip for both the full desktop app and Local privacy. Chrome no longer warns that the file is not commonly downloaded. Unzip it, then install
On bibigpt.cn, sign-in is a phone code and WeChat. A free account uploading a local file that does not fit is no longer told that Plus's 100 hours this month are already used. On a narrow window, the sign-in card keeps its buttons inside the card.
New Features
On bibigpt.cn, sign-in is a phone verification code and WeChat. Email and other third-party sign-in no longer appear on the China site. If this phone number is already on an account, you enter that account. If you are already signed in with WeChat, verifying the number stays on the current account instead of splitting membership in two
Bug Fixes
When a free account uploads a local file longer than the time left, it is no longer told that Plus's 100 hours of local video this month are already used. That message appears only when a Plus plan has used up both the monthly time and any top-up time
On a narrow window, third-party sign-in and the email fields stay inside the sign-in card. They no longer slide past the edge, and the scrollbar no longer jitters
The desktop download page adds a local privacy app, and Windows can be downloaded now. It handles files on this computer only, with no account. Speech ships in the installer. The text model downloads the first time you open the app. The homepage tab title stays put. On the link row, summary settings no longer cover the model name beside them. Custom summaries can hide timestamps. A failed read no longer shortens remaining time or a group-buy membership. A brief disconnect no longer signs you out.
New Features
The desktop download page adds Local privacy, and the Windows build can be downloaded now. It handles audio and video files on this computer only, with no account. Speech recognition and the summary stay on this machine, and nothing is uploaded. The sidebar is the history on this computer
Speech models are in the installer. The text model downloads once the first time you open the app, with a progress bar at the bottom. You can transcribe while it downloads. The summary waits until the file is on disk. Later app updates do not download it again unless the model file itself changes. You can switch to a stronger model, or pick a model file or folder you already have
Improvements
The download page lists what Local privacy needs. Mac requires macOS 13 and Apple silicon; 16 GB of memory is comfortable, and 8 GB opens the app but gets slow. Windows 10 or 11 is comfortable at 32 GB, and 16 GB is the floor. No separate graphics card
A Timestamp switch sits next to a custom prompt. Turn it off and the summary leaves time codes out
Bug Fixes
Local privacy checks for its own updates, so it is not pushed onto a new version of the full desktop app
After the homepage loads, the browser tab keeps its title instead of going blank
On the link row, the summary settings label stays inside its button instead of spilling onto the model name beside it
On the desktop app, submitting a custom summary no longer fails immediately with a generic error
If remaining time cannot be read, it is no longer reset to 120 minutes
When a group buy cannot see every paid member, it no longer shortens a 3-month reward to 1 month
After a search dialog opens a history page, the add-content dialog opens again
On a sign-in redirect, the sign-in credential leaves the address bar immediately
A short disconnect, or while the site is updating, no longer signs you out
Chapter exports can leave video frames out, and that choice is remembered. An X Space link can be summarized. On a desktop browser, the WeChat sign-in box is shorter and no longer leaves a tall empty gap underneath.
New Features
In the export window, open Summary and turn off Include video screenshots under Include chapter summary. Exported images and documents leave the video frames out, and images in highlight notes stay. The choice is remembered on the next video, so you do not have to turn it off again
Bug Fixes
Pasting an X Space link now gets a summary, instead of failing while the audio downloads
On bibigpt.co in a desktop browser, the WeChat sign-in box is shorter, so it no longer leaves a tall empty gap underneath
On bibigpt.cn, the homepage and the store show that site's own pages. Pasting a custom prompt in summary settings keeps the window open.
Bug Fixes
The bibigpt.cn homepage and store show that site's own pages. They no longer come up as the main site's homepage and store
Pasting a custom prompt in summary settings keeps the window open. The pasted text goes into the prompt, and the link box does not take it as a new video URL
Channel pages show the creator bio and the original caption, and you can leave a private note beside the bio. On bibigpt.cn, the homepage and store now lead with audio and video summaries.
New Features
A subscribed channel page shows the creator bio. Xiaohongshu uses the bio from the creator profile instead of a one-line placeholder. The list keeps the caption from the platform, so that column is not only a Summarize button
Leave a private note next to the creator bio. Subscribe to the channel first. Refreshing the bio does not replace the note, and only you can see it
When you follow channels on more than one platform, the phone list can filter by platform
Improvements
On bibigpt.cn, the homepage title is now audio and video summaries, under the name Bibi 记笔记. The store is its own page
You can switch transcription to Qwen Audio 3.1, Paraformer, or StepAudio 3 with your own key. Douyin links summarize again. On Android, summary progress keeps moving in the background.
New Features
Transcription now includes Qwen Audio 3.1 and Paraformer. Qwen Audio 3.0 stays available. StepAudio 3 is there too if you bring your own key
Improvements
The bibigpt.cn homepage no longer introduces overseas platforms. Paste a link this site does not handle directly, and it asks you to continue on the overseas version instead of summarizing it here
Bug Fixes
Douyin links get subtitles and a summary again, instead of failing the whole job
If subtitles come back empty, progress no longer sits halfway. A failed job is marked failed instead of looking like it is still queued
On Android, the summary notification keeps moving after you leave the app, instead of freezing near the start
When a summary finishes on the phone, the page no longer flashes and scrolling no longer stutters
Opening another item in a collection stops the previous one. The page and the mini player share one playback, so the old video does not keep playing on top
A dynamic PPT is no longer a blank page when the deck was cut off mid-write. The slides stay visible even if the player never starts
A Word download of an AI rewrite keeps the tables, not just the text
Signing out now clears account data left on this device, so the next account does not keep the previous one's settings or cache.
Bug Fixes
Signing out clears account data left in the browser or the desktop window, including cached media, then takes you back to the home page. Your language and last sign-in method stay.
Clicking another summary in the sidebar now updates the player and the note. On the web, the processing queue no longer covers AI Read and can be collapsed when everything is done. Opening a note with a pinned custom prompt still switches to that tab.
Bug Fixes
Clicking another summary in the sidebar swaps the player, title, and note to that record instead of staying on the last one. On desktop, the tab and the body now show the same record.
On the web, the processing queue moves left so it no longer covers AI Read on the right. You can collapse it to a pill after every task finishes — no need to leave a failed one. On desktop it still sits at the top-right of the tab bar.
If you pinned a custom prompt, opening a note still switches to that custom tab. Tapping pin by mistake unpins it; it does not turn off the auto-switch.
Auto-send can ship the polished article instead of the transcript. In immersive and landscape, close-reading becomes a resizable mini window. Space pauses in place. Summary timestamps no longer collapse to 00:00.
New Features
Auto-send to notes can use the polished article: pick the spoken transcript or the polish, not both. Missing polish is generated first (uses polish quota); if quota runs out, that send is skipped. A local folder can be the cloud-drive sync path — no official drive binding.
In immersive playback and landscape on the phone, close-reading is a draggable, resizable, collapsible mini window so the video can fill the screen.
Bug Fixes
Space pauses at the current frame instead of jumping to a summary timestamp. Hold the right arrow for 3x speed; release to restore.
Summary timestamps no longer fill the note with 00:00, and numbers in the recap are kept.
Opening Subtitle Studio on desktop no longer pops Settings by itself and freezes the UI. If setup is incomplete, you get an on-page prompt.
You can pick Qwen3.8 Omni Flash. bibigpt.cn shows the Bibi 记笔记 brand. In the mobile app, tap timestamps in a polished article to jump in the video, and an upload keeps going after you close the app.
New Features
The model picker now includes Qwen3.8 Omni Flash, which can watch the whole video instead of a few frames. Qwen3.5 Omni Flash stays available.
bibigpt.cn shows the Bibi 记笔记 brand and China logo, with the ICP number in the footer.
Bug Fixes
In a polished article on mobile, tap a timestamp to jump in the video. Turning the player back on no longer makes it jump and collapse.
If you upload a local file on mobile, closing the app and coming back continues the job. You do not have to pick the file again.
When picking or uploading a video fails on mobile, you get a clear next step (permission, still in the cloud, or too large) instead of a system error string.
The mini player keeps playing when you open Settings. Baidu Netdisk authorization now completes instead of stopping on a failure page. The mobile app keeps you signed in after backgrounding or opening a shared link.
Improvements
If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC” when installing the desktop app, the download page now tells you to click More info, then Run anyway. That is the system checking a new app, not a virus.
Bug Fixes
After shrinking the player, opening Settings, Account, or other sidebar pages keeps the mini player playing. It no longer closes and starts over.
WeChat bind, unbind, and switch labels in account settings show real wording again, not leftover key names.
Baidu Netdisk authorization on the web finishes sign-in before any failure page, so import can continue.
The mobile app keeps you signed in after you leave it in the background or open a shared link from another app.
TikTok photo posts, Suno profile pages, and WeChat Channels links are rejected up front, instead of spinning and retrying.
The sidebar top bar is now one row. Public Collections stay out of menus. Switching creator updates back to the default summary actually sticks. Opening Subtitle Studio in the browser no longer crashes.
Improvements
The sidebar, tabs, command palette, announcements, and mobile app no longer surface Public Collections or the prompt marketplace. Direct links still open those pages.
The sidebar top bar is a single row: Home, New summary, Search, and collapse. Spacing is even, and taps respond immediately.
The site footer no longer lists overseas video platforms, other products, or Labs.
The notes integration page is fully translated — other languages no longer mix in leftover Chinese.
Bug Fixes
Opening Subtitle Studio on the web no longer crashes the page; the desktop preview stays visible.
Switching creator-update notifications back to the default summary now sticks. It no longer says restored while the custom template stays selected.
Inline math in summaries now renders as formulas, not leftover dollar signs.
Bug Fixes
Chemistry and math notes (like the ionization constant Ka) display as formulas; amounts such as $1 and $0.87 stay currency
Desktop playback of local FLV files no longer freezes the picture while audio plays.
Bug Fixes
Local FLV courseware is converted so picture and sound stay together. It no longer plays a neighboring file with the same name, or audio-only against a still poster.
Homepage titles now lead with “summarize video” in each language. The desktop error screen can check for updates.
Improvements
Homepage title is now “Summarize YouTube Videos — Free AI Transcript” (and local equivalents like 视频总结 / 動画要約AI), not Summarizer
Bug Fixes
The desktop error screen shows the current version and can check for updates, even when the rest of the window has crashed
Douyin image notes and WeChat 小绿书 can be summarized. You can unbind or switch the WeChat used to sign in. Summaries no longer freeze while they appear, and regenerating asks first.
New Features
Douyin image notes and WeChat 小绿书 summarize in one tap — it reads the pictures and uses the caption as the source text
Account settings let you unbind or switch the WeChat used to sign in, once an email is linked
The mobile app export picker matches the web: highlights, speakers, chapter titles, and backlinks actually land in the export
Bug Fixes
Videos that already have a summary no longer stay marked as failed, including after you switch to the overseas site
Summaries no longer throw errors, freeze, or cut off while they appear. Default summaries show titles and bold; custom highlighting and timestamps wait until the text is done
Regenerating a summary asks for confirmation first, so you don't overwrite existing content and spend credits again
Baidu Netdisk authorization returns to the original browser tab instead of spinning forever
Copying a polished article from the app no longer injects timestamps; AI rewrite has a one-tap copy
On Windows, hovering the summary column no longer turns the whole panel into an I-beam
Douyin and Kuaishou live replays can be summarized, including official replay pages. Desktop and mobile can check for updates. Re-summarize no longer pastes an error page as the note.
New Features
Douyin and Kuaishou live replay links open and summarize, including official replay pages — they no longer say they are not supported
Desktop avatar and Help menu run a real Check for Updates; mobile Settings can check on demand and will not claim you are on the latest if the lookup fails
Bug Fixes
Summarize and re-summarize no longer paste a server error page as the note
On mobile, switching to the next video refreshes rewrite, images, and flashcards instead of keeping the previous ones
Failed queue items can be cleared in one tap; after a restart, local files resume uploading
The mobile app tucks the player away while you scroll the summary. WeChat and Alipay members get expiry reminders with 20% off to renew. Douyin clips with no audio no longer get a fake transcript.
New Features
On mobile, the player collapses while you scroll the summary; hide it from the menu or with a double-tap, and the app remembers
WeChat and Alipay members get an email or WeChat reminder before membership ends, with a 20% off renew link for returning users
Bug Fixes
Re-running a summary no longer pops 'this model cannot regenerate'
Desktop sidebar and mini-player no longer error when you open your profile
Douyin videos with no audio are no longer marked as transcribed — they fail so you can retry, instead of a hallucinated summary
Desktop Baidu Netdisk sign-in no longer dies on a blank failed-login page
Agent install has a hub page with an upgrade link when quota runs out. Custom summaries no longer dump an error page.
New Features
New Agent hub: see how to connect, the four skills, and your quota before installing; when quota runs out, you get an upgrade link. Skills split into watch video, library search, subscriptions, and frame analysis
Improvements
Sign-in shows Google by default; hover other buttons to see their names
Bug Fixes
Running a custom summary on an existing note no longer pops an unreadable error page
Saved Xiaohongshu image notes show their pictures again, one-tap summary looks at the images, and the browser extension can collect every video tab in the window. Custom summaries no longer falsely say the model is unavailable when you switch.
New Features
The browser extension can import video tabs from this window, and multi-select links on a page into Watch Later. Batch import does not auto-summarize, so it will not burn a stack of credits at once
Improvements
Opening a content page tries the installed desktop app by default; Stay in browser keeps that choice
Bug Fixes
Reopening a saved Xiaohongshu image note plays the pictures instead of a media-load error
One-tap summary reads the note's images, so it no longer writes 'this video points out' style text-only recaps
Links copied from a Douyin collection popup open as a single video, instead of a channel page that keeps failing with a network error
The close-read sub-tabs no longer cover the chat window
Shop comparison table and membership-credit copy is localized, instead of leftover Chinese
Custom summaries no longer falsely say the AI model is unavailable when you switch models — they finish normally
Xiaohongshu image notes and playlists get smoother, the desktop app supports multiple windows, and PDF export plus the shop page are cleaner.
New Features
Xiaohongshu image notes can be summarized; the player slot becomes an image carousel
YouTube playlists and Bilibili collections can be turned into a collection and summarized, up to 50 items
Creation drafts can pull from a collection, chapter blocks, highlights, or custom text; audio-only notes get illustrations
Keyframe analysis now picks frames by scene change
The website can open an installed desktop client, with a setting to always do so
When web subtitles fail, ZIP sideload sits next to the store install
The desktop app can open multiple windows; Cmd/Ctrl+N opens a new home window, and closing extras does not quit the app
Improvements
Default summaries are no longer capped by word or bullet counts
Original UP / YouTube chapters are used when present, including the first chapter
Logged-out YouTube viewing asks you to sign in instead of hanging on a skeleton
Template image covers and content now land under the template entry instead of extra top tabs
WeChat article credit estimates wrap on a natural line; advanced settings sit in the same card
Xiaohongshu and WeChat article share one model picker; the template entry is back, with highlight, collection, and chapter sources on one row
Credit packs now show about how many images or seconds of video you can get
Non-Chinese shop, on-demand API, and credit-stats copy no longer shows leftover Chinese
The English shop leads with card and PayPal; Chinese still leads with Alipay and WeChat
Bug Fixes
Pressing Enter while composing with a Chinese IME no longer submits the home or large input
Error copy still hides internal tool names
Image-note minutes are billed at 30 seconds per image (subscribers still are not charged minutes)
Polish shows a retry when no article comes back; local recording titles are no longer a number string
Xiaohongshu image notes load again instead of caching an error page
After a desktop subtitle download, the toast can open the saved file
Long image PDFs paginate on paragraph boundaries instead of slicing through glyphs
Xiaohongshu image notes no longer open as an unrelated recommended video
Three new optional summary models, a mini player, and cleaner note export.
