A larger inner screen helps you see a lecture. It does not chapter it, timestamp it, or export it. That job is the same one iPad Split View never finished.

A 90-minute interview does not need a hinge to become useful. Search the transcript, jump to the timestamp, then optionally pin the player beside the note. That is capture, not editing — and it works before 23 October.
After the transcript exists, export Markdown to Obsidian or keep source-traced chapters. Split View can hold the player and the vault. It cannot invent the vault. Do not wait for Pencil to start exporting.
